The Children and Youth will be catered for in Various different age groups. Starting with WOW! for Reception Classes, Champions for Years 1 - 5, Sprite for Years 6-10, and Youth from Year 10 upwards!

WOW! - JILL IS LEADING THE WOW GROUP - AGES 3 TO RECEPTION

I am very happy to be leading  WOW again in 2024, I was a Primary School Teacher for nearly 40 years. I mainly worked at KS1 and pre- school ages. I have a particular passion for Special Needs and English, I  accepted a part time teaching post after our two children started school.

My husband Andy and I now enjoy semi-retirement, including the company of our two grandchildren.  Over the years I enjoyed responsibility for Children’s Ministries in Church.  At the root of this has been my personal experience of knowing Jesus from just 6 years old, together with my desire for young children to have a similar experience in their lives. I feel that my  background help me to provide exciting activities to enable precious young children to explore the steady and unchanging Love of our Heavenly Father.

Champions - JOHN WILL BE LEADING THE CHAMPIONS GROUP

Champions is our group for children in school years one to five and will be led again this year by John Hardwick.

God says we are all Champions.

John has written several books and hundreds of songs and he works under the banner of Counties and Barnabas! We hope John will bring his sidekick Doug and of course Charlie the cheeky monkey!

All the morning sessions will be action-packed, full of fun and games, many of the hundreds of action songs, exciting stories and also small reflective groups.

Sprite - RACHEL WILL BE LEADING THE SPRITE GROUP SCHOOL YEARS 6-9

Rachel Clarke-Brookings will be leading the Sprite Group

I work as a Teaching Assistant in a Primary School and have mentored teenagers as a volunteer.  I also serve in our church Youth Team. I love baking, arts and crafts, reading and puzzles. We have a little dog called Lottie who comes to SBHR with us. My husband Des works alongside me in Sprite in a supporting role.

This is the 3rd year running that I’ve been the Leader for Sprite, working alongside some other amazing volunteers.  It’s also been a real pleasure getting to know the young people from 10-14 years and I hope to see a few new members; but sadly we will also lose a few to Youth.  This year our theme is “Your breakthrough is coming!” And our core Bible verse is Isaiah 40 v 31, the same as the adults! We’ll be looking at how we persevere when life’s troubles come along and how to find peace, hope, rest and strength.  We’ll have fun together in the evenings playing new and old games and have more fun and refreshments in the mornings, going deeper into our faith and finding ways to apply what we learn in our own lives.

Youth - THE YOUTH TEAM WILL BE LEADING THE YOUTH GROUP

CCCF Youth (Year 10 up-wards) will be meeting every evening at SBHR for a wide range of games, challenges and worship led by our familiar faces. If you’re new to CCCF or to the youth group, the team – Martyn and Rich and helpers – look forward to meeting you.

Having once been part of the youth group themselves, between them they know every trick in the book when it comes to card games, staying up all night, strutting their stuff on ‘Just Dance’ and making your money go furthest at the tuck shop. The week will consist of the usual madness and mayhem that goes hand-in-hand with the CCCF Youth, from mind-bending quizzes to indescribable activities and challenges, not forgetting more focussed times of worship, prayer and study each night. Together the youth team aim to create a welcoming and inclusive space for all young people at the rally, providing the opportunity to build friendships as well as be supported on your journey of faith, whatever stage you’re at.
